But like seriously where’d ya go? I took a break, for several months actually. It was the best of times, it was the worst times…at least that’s how I felt. I was so exhausted. Putting on events & planning to, cooking, creating, and delivering food, marketing and writing, taking on additional clients, teaching classes, trying to have a social life, trying to be so many things at all the same time. It wore me out. I’m exhausted thinking of my “grind” for months on end. However exhausting it was, I am truly grateful for over one year of having my meal delivery service being received so well and all of the feedback to aid in my progression and development. It’s allll about the experience. And bought sense is indeed better than told sense. (place right eye wink here).
So what’s next what’s new might you ask?? Being in such a great, creative, and free place in life allows me to come back to what really matters. I took time out to create a daily routine, read, exercise, chant-pray-meditate, talking long walks, waking before the sunrise, counting my blessings, writing in my gratitude journal, creating a new vision and establishing goals for myself. I’m learning to breathe, connect, forgive, and love. It’s been such a wonderful journey. Not perfect but yes wonderful.
I’ve rediscovered my love for making food that is tasty yet provides nourishment for the mind, body, & soul. I would run into folk out and about on errands asking me for advice regarding foods to aid in digestion, weight loss, energy, and it truly humbled me. Of course, I’m not a doctor, just a vegan girl hoping to make a difference. I owe a huge thank you to anyone who has supported this journey and those who reminded me why I got started with all of this in the first place simply because of my love of being of service and expressing compassion. Y’all are the REAL MVP’s.
What’s next?? From my months of solitude, so to speak, I have begun coaching clients in becoming vegan or eating a plant-based diet one on one. I’ve begun hosting and catering small dinner parties, as I empower small groups of women, with recipes and simple techniques in the kitchen to make easy Fabulously Vegan meals. I enjoy working one on one and with small groups of individuals wanting to learn and try plant-based foods. I love encouraging a positive relationship with our bodies and well-being. I simply love showing how being compassionate towards self leads to compassion expressed towards lives of animals and our planet. It is truly, for me, the highest form of servitude.
So there ya have it. That’s what I’ve been up to for about 7 months. Stay tuned for more events, recipes, and blog posts regarding this Fabulous Vegan life! Much love and Artichoke
